🍽️ Tuna steaks with fruity salsa

Ingredients
- 4 tuna steaks (approx. 150 g each)
- 3 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp curry powder
- pepper (from the mill)
- 200 g pineapple flesh (fresh)
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro
- 1 pinch brown sugar
- cayenne pepper
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the tuna under running water.
- 2. Pat the fish dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Mix two tablespoons of lime juice with the oil, honey, thyme, and curry powder in a small bowl.
- 4. Season the marinade with some black pepper.
- 5. Brush the tuna steaks evenly with the marinade.
- 6. Cover the steaks and place them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 7. Cut the pineapple into small cubes.
- 8. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 9. Quarter the tomatoes and remove the core.
- 10. Dice the cored tomatoes into small pieces as well.
- 11. Mix the pineapple and tomato cubes with the chopped coriander leaves.
- 12. Season the salsa to taste with sugar, cayenne pepper, and some lime juice.
- 13. Heat a frying pan over high heat.
- 14. Sear the tuna steaks on all sides for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 15. Make sure the inside of the fish remains raw.
- 16. Serve the tuna together with the fruity salsa.
