Ingredients
- apricot jam
- currant jelly
- powdered sugar
- 500 g flour
- 150 g sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 vanilla pod (scraped seeds)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 250 g cold butter (in small cubes)
Instructions
- 1. Put all ingredients for the dough into a bowl.
- 2. Knead the ingredients quickly into a smooth dough.
- 3. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 4. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
- 5. Place the foil in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 6. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 7. Dust a work surface with flour.
- 8. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to about 3 millimeters thick.
- 9. Cut out round cookies with a fluted edge in three different sizes.
- 10. Cut a hole in the center of the smallest cookies.
- 11. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 12. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
- 13. Warm up the jam and jelly slightly.
- 14. Spread the jam or jelly onto the large and medium cookies.
- 15. Place the unspread smallest cookies (with the hole) on top.
- 16. Let the assembled cookies dry for a short time.
- 17. Dust the finished cookies with powdered sugar.
