  1. 1. Mix all dough ingredients in a bowl.
  2. 2. Add water gradually until the dough holds together.
  3. 3. Roll the dough out into a thin sheet.
  4. 4. Cut out circles from the dough using a drinking glass.
  5. 5. Peel the onions and chop them finely.
  6. 6. Fry the onions in a little oil until light brown.
  7. 7. Crumble the sheep cheese into small pieces.
  8. 8. Combine the mashed potatoes with half of the fried onions.
  9. 9. Fold the sheep cheese into the potato mixture.
  10. 10. Season the filling with salt and plenty of pepper.
  11. 11. Place some of the potato mixture onto each dough circle.
  12. 12. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape.
  13. 13. Press the edges of the dumplings together firmly.
  14. 14. Bring plenty of water with salt to a boil.
  15. 15. Cook the dumplings in the salted water for about 15 minutes.
  16. 16. Meanwhile, melt some butter in a pan.
  17. 17. Remove the dumplings from the water and let them drain.
  18. 18. Sprinkle the dumplings with the remaining fried onions.
  19. 19. Drizzle with a little melted butter.
  20. 20. Serve the dumplings immediately while warm.
