🍽️ Crispy Dumplings with Potato and Sheep Cheese Filling

Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 1 egg
- water
- 60 g butter
- 500 g potatoes (cooked and mashed)
- 150 g feta cheese
- 2 onions
- pepper (from the mill)
- salt
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- 1. Mix all dough ingredients in a bowl.
- 2. Add water gradually until the dough holds together.
- 3. Roll the dough out into a thin sheet.
- 4. Cut out circles from the dough using a drinking glass.
- 5. Peel the onions and chop them finely.
- 6. Fry the onions in a little oil until light brown.
- 7. Crumble the sheep cheese into small pieces.
- 8. Combine the mashed potatoes with half of the fried onions.
- 9. Fold the sheep cheese into the potato mixture.
- 10. Season the filling with salt and plenty of pepper.
- 11. Place some of the potato mixture onto each dough circle.
- 12. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape.
- 13. Press the edges of the dumplings together firmly.
- 14. Bring plenty of water with salt to a boil.
- 15. Cook the dumplings in the salted water for about 15 minutes.
- 16. Meanwhile, melt some butter in a pan.
- 17. Remove the dumplings from the water and let them drain.
- 18. Sprinkle the dumplings with the remaining fried onions.
- 19. Drizzle with a little melted butter.
- 20. Serve the dumplings immediately while warm.
