  1. 1. Mound the flour onto a clean work surface.
  2. 2. Mix the flour with salt and sugar.
  3. 3. Press a well into the center of the flour mixture.
  4. 4. Cut the cold butter into small cubes.
  5. 5. Distribute the butter cubes around the well.
  6. 6. Place the egg in the center of the well.
  7. 7. Chop all ingredients roughly with a knife until small crumbs form.
  8. 8. Quickly knead the crumbs together with your hands to form a dough.
  9. 9. Shape the dough into a ball.
  10. 10. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
  11. 11. Store the dough in a cool place for about 30 minutes.
  12. 12. Wash the apples thoroughly.
  13. 13. Quarter the apples.
  14. 14. Remove the core from the apple quarters.
  15. 15. Grease the tart pan with 50 grams of butter.
  16. 16. Spread a thick layer of about 100 grams of sugar over the butter.
  17. 17. Place the apple quarters closely together on top of the sugar.
  18. 18. Place the cake pan on the stove and heat it over medium heat.
  19. 19. Let the pan heat for about 15 minutes.
  20. 20. Remove the pan from the stove as soon as the sugar starts to caramelize.
  21. 21. Let the pan cool down briefly.
  22. 22. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the apples.
  23. 23. Distribute the remaining butter in small flakes over the sugar.
  24. 24. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
  25. 25. Select the top and bottom heat setting.
  26. 26. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  27. 27. Carefully place the dough circle over the apples.
  28. 28. Press the dough edges down into the pan.
  29. 29. Place the tart in the preheated oven.
  30. 30. Bake the tart for about 30 minutes.

  32. 32. Let the tart cool down briefly.
  33. 33. Invert the tart onto a cake plate.
  34. 34. Serve the tart lukewarm.
