  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (conventional heat).
  2. 2. Heat honey, sugar, butter, and water in a pot until the butter has melted.
  3. 3. Pour the hot mixture into a bowl and let it cool until it is only lukewarm.
  4. 4. Stir the egg into the cooled liquid.
  5. 5. Add flour and baking powder and knead everything into a smooth dough.
  6. 6. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters.
  7. 7. Cut out tree shapes from the dough.
  8. 8. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  9. 9. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
  10. 10. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool completely.
  11. 11. Mix powdered sugar with about one tablespoon of water until you have a thick icing.
  12. 12. Brush the cooled trees with the white icing and let it dry.
  13. 13. Color the remaining icing with food coloring.
  14. 14. Dip a toothpick into the colored icing and place small dots on the white trees.
