🍽️ Christmas Tree Cookies

Ingredients
- 200 g honey
- 100 g sugar
- 50 g butter
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 100 g powdered sugar
- various food coloring
- water
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (conventional heat).
- 2. Heat honey, sugar, butter, and water in a pot until the butter has melted.
- 3. Pour the hot mixture into a bowl and let it cool until it is only lukewarm.
- 4. Stir the egg into the cooled liquid.
- 5. Add flour and baking powder and knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 6. Dust a work surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters.
- 7. Cut out tree shapes from the dough.
- 8. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- 9. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
- 10. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool completely.
- 11. Mix powdered sugar with about one tablespoon of water until you have a thick icing.
- 12. Brush the cooled trees with the white icing and let it dry.
- 13. Color the remaining icing with food coloring.
- 14. Dip a toothpick into the colored icing and place small dots on the white trees.
