  1. 1. Put the tamarind paste, 1 liter of water, and the sugar into a large pot.
  2. 2. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
  3. 3. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
  4. 4. Let the lemonade simmer gently for 20 minutes.
  5. 5. Make sure there is enough water in the pot and top up if necessary so the volume does not decrease too much.
  6. 6. Pour the finished lemonade through a clean linen cloth to filter out the solids.
  7. 7. Let the strained lemonade cool down completely.
  8. 8. Taste the lemonade and add more sugar if needed to sweeten it to your liking.
  9. 9. Thread three figs onto wooden skewers each.
  10. 10. Place fresh mint leaves on the glasses into which you will pour the lemonade.
  11. 11. Serve the lemonade well chilled.
  12. 12. Place a bowl of pumpkin seeds nearby for guests to snack on.
