🥤 Refreshing Tamarind Lemonade

Ingredients
- 100 g tamarind paste (jar)
- 150 g sugar
- 12 dried figs
- 4 sprigs mint
- 50 g salted pumpkin seeds
- wooden skewers
Instructions
- 1. Put the tamarind paste, 1 liter of water, and the sugar into a large pot.
- 2. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 3. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
- 4. Let the lemonade simmer gently for 20 minutes.
- 5. Make sure there is enough water in the pot and top up if necessary so the volume does not decrease too much.
- 6. Pour the finished lemonade through a clean linen cloth to filter out the solids.
- 7. Let the strained lemonade cool down completely.
- 8. Taste the lemonade and add more sugar if needed to sweeten it to your liking.
- 9. Thread three figs onto wooden skewers each.
- 10. Place fresh mint leaves on the glasses into which you will pour the lemonade.
- 11. Serve the lemonade well chilled.
- 12. Place a bowl of pumpkin seeds nearby for guests to snack on.
