  1. 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add some salt.
  2. 2. Cook the tagliatelle in the salted water until al dente (firm to the bite).
  3. 3. Drain the pasta using a colander to remove the water.
  4. 4. Wash the arugula under cold water and shake it dry.
  5. 5. Roughly chop the arugula using your hands or a knife.
  6. 6. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
  7. 7. Cut the tomatoes in half through the middle.
  8. 8. Heat some oil in a large frying pan.
  9. 9. Place the tomato halves in the hot pan and sauté them briefly.
  10. 10. Add the drained pasta and the arugula to the pan.
  11. 11. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. 12. Serve the pasta immediately while still hot.
  13. 13. Sprinkle the finished pasta with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
