Ingredients
- 3 onions
- 800 g Tafelspitz
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 1200 ml beef broth
- 600 g green beans
- 500 g potatoes
- 3 sprigs savory
- 3 sprigs parsley
- 50 g fresh horseradish (1 piece)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions.
- 2. Cut the onions into thin strips.
- 3. Cut the beef into approx. 3 cm cubes.
- 4. Season the meat cubes with salt and pepper.
- 5. Heat oil in a large pot.
- 6. Add the onion strips to the hot oil.
- 7. Sauté the onions briefly until translucent.
- 8. Pour the broth into the pot.
- 9. Add the seasoned meat to the broth.
- 10. Simmer the stew on low heat for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- 11. Trim the green beans.
- 12. Wash the green beans.
- 13. Halve the green beans.
- 14. Wash the potatoes.
- 15. Peel the potatoes.
- 16. Dice the potatoes coarsely.
- 17. Wash the savory herb.
- 18. Shake the savory herb dry.
- 19. Pluck the leaves from the savory herb.
- 20. Add the green beans to the pot after 55 minutes of cooking time.
- 21. Add the potatoes to the pot after 55 minutes of cooking time.
- 22. Add the savory herb to the pot after 55 minutes of cooking time.
- 23. Wash the parsley.
- 24. Shake the parsley dry.
- 25. Pluck the leaves from the parsley.
- 26. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
- 27. Peel the horseradish.
- 28. Grate the horseradish finely.
- 29. Add the chopped parsley to the stew.
- 30. Season the stew finally with salt and pepper.
- 31. Serve the grated horseradish separately alongside the stew.
