🍽️ Salmon Sushi in a Mold

Ingredients
- 125 g Smoked salmon
- 1 piece Cucumber
- 200 g Ready-made sushi rice
- Vinegar water (for hands)
- Wasabi (for spreading)
- Pickled ginger (for garnishing)
- Chive blossom (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Line a small, rectangular mold with plastic wrap.
- 2. Lightly grease the plastic wrap with oil.
- 3. Slice the smoked salmon into very thin slices.
- 4. Use half of the salmon slices to line the bottom of the mold.
- 5. Place half of the sushi rice mixture onto the salmon.
- 6. Press the rice down firmly.
- 7. Wash the cucumber thoroughly.
- 8. Slice the cucumber into paper-thin slices.
- 9. Distribute the cucumber slices evenly over the rice.
- 10. Spread a little wasabi over the cucumber slices.
- 11. Add the remaining sushi rice on top.
- 12. Press the rice down firmly again.
- 13. Cover the rice with the remaining salmon slices.
- 14. Press the salmon down well.
- 15. Cut the sushi in the mold into 8 pieces using a sharp knife.
- 16. Carefully turn the sushi out onto a plate.
- 17. Remove the plastic wrap.
- 18. Trim the sushi pieces carefully again.
- 19. Lift the individual sushi pieces with a spatula.
- 20. Arrange the sushi on the serving plate.
- 21. Garnish each piece with pickled ginger.
- 22. Garnish each piece additionally with chive blossoms.
