  1. 1. Cut the whole nori sheet into 8 strips of equal width.
  2. 2. Cut the half nori sheet into 4 strips of equal width.
  3. 3. Moisten your fingers in vinegar water so the rice does not stick.
  4. 4. Shape the prepared sushi rice into 12 equal-sized, oblong balls.
  5. 5. Take a rice ball and wrap it in a nori strip.
  6. 6. Let the nori strip protrude beyond the rice on one side.
  7. 7. Press a small grain of rice onto the nori ends to secure them.
  8. 8. Fill the resulting gunkan boats with sea urchin roe (uni).
  9. 9. Fill more gunkan boats with keta caviar.
  10. 10. Fill the remaining gunkan boats with trout roe.
