🍲 Hearty Cabbage Soup with Smoked Cod

Ingredients
- 200 g firm-boiling potatoes
- 200 g carrots
- 150 g kohlrabi
- 150 g celeriac
- 200 g savoy cabbage
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 l vegetable broth
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 300 g smoked cod
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes, carrots, celery, and kohlrabi.
- 2. Wash the vegetables thoroughly.
- 3. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
- 4. Wash the cabbage.
- 5. Remove the tough stems and separate the leaves from the core.
- 6. Slice the cabbage leaves into thin strips.
- 7. Peel the onion.
- 8. Finely chop the onion.
- 9. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pot.
- 10. Sauté the onions until they become translucent.
- 11. Add the remaining prepared vegetables to the pot.
- 12. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
- 13. Dust the vegetables with flour.
- 14. Deglaze the mixture with the broth.
- 15. Season the soup with salt and pepper.
- 16. Simmer the soup over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
- 17. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- 18. Serve the soup into bowls.
- 19. Break the smoked fish into large chunks.
- 20. Add the fish to the soup and serve the dish.
