🍳 Sweet Cherry Jam

Ingredients
- 1 kg sweet cherry
- 1 kg jam sugar (1:1)
- 0.5 vanilla pod (pulp)
- 60 ml cassis
- 1 untreated lemon (juice)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly rinse the sweet cherries under running water.
- 2. Pit the cherries and place them in a pot along with the sugar, the seeds from one vanilla pod, the liqueur, and the lemon juice.
- 3. Lightly mash the fruit with a potato masher to release the juices.
- 4. Let the mixture sit for about one hour to allow the flavors to blend well.
- 5. Bring the jam mixture to a boil in the pot.
- 6. Let the jam bubble and cook for four minutes.
- 7. Fill the hot jam into well-rinsed, clean jars.
- 8. Seal the jars tightly with lids.
- 9. Turn the sealed jars upside down for ten minutes.
- 10. Turn the jars back upright and let them cool down completely.
- 11. Store the finished jam in a cool and dark place.
