  3. 3. Cook the potatoes for about 30 minutes until soft.
  4. 4. Drain the cooking water and peel the warm sweet potatoes.
  5. 5. Return the peeled potatoes to the pot.
  6. 6. Add hot milk, syrup, and butter.
  7. 7. Mash the ingredients with a potato masher until smooth.
  8. 8. Make sure the consistency becomes creamy and smooth.
  9. 9. If the mash is too thick, stir in a little more hot milk.
  10. 10. Finally, season the mash with salt, lemon juice, and pepper.
