  1. 1. Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly.
  2. 2. Place them in a small pot and cover with a small amount of water.
  3. 3. Cook the sweet potatoes covered for 30 to 40 minutes until very soft.
  4. 4. Check for doneness: A knife tip should pierce the potato easily.
  5. 5. Bring about 100 milliliters of water to a boil in a second pot.
  6. 6. Add the frozen peas and the oat flakes to the boiling water.
  7. 7. Let the mixture cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  8. 8. Cut the orange in half in the meantime.
  9. 9. Squeeze the orange halves.
  10. 10. Measure out exactly three tablespoons of orange juice.
  11. 11. Rinse the cooked sweet potatoes under cold running water.
  12. 12. Peel the cooled sweet potatoes.
  13. 13. Add the peeled sweet potatoes and the orange juice to the pea mixture.
  14. 14. Add the oil.
  15. 15. Mash everything with a potato masher into a chunky mash.
  16. 16. Check the temperature of the serving.
  17. 17. Feed one portion fresh.
