  2. 2. Cut the meat into small cubes.
  3. 3. Mix one tablespoon of oil with chili powder in a separate bowl.
  4. 4. Toss the chicken cubes in the oil-chili mixture until evenly coated.
  5. 5. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 25 minutes to let the meat marinate.
  6. 6. Clean the spring onions, wash them, and slice them into fine rings.
  7. 7. Peel the garlic and the ginger.
  8. 8. Finely chop the garlic and the ginger.
  9. 9. Peel the sweet potatoes.
  10. 10. Cut the sweet potatoes into cubes of about two centimeters in size.
  11. 11. Wash the tomatoes.
  12. 12. Cut out the hard stem areas of the tomatoes in a wedge shape.
  13. 13. Dice the tomatoes roughly.
  14. 14. Heat the remaining oil in a pot.
  15. 15. Add the spring onions, garlic, and ginger to the hot oil and sauté them briefly.
  16. 16. Add the sweet potato cubes after two minutes.
  17. 17. Continue to sauté the potatoes for another three minutes.
  18. 18. Add the diced tomatoes to the pot.
  19. 19. Pour in the broth and the coconut milk.
  20. 20. Season the soup with salt and pepper.

  22. 22. Reduce the heat to medium and let the soup simmer covered for 20 minutes.
