🍰 Sweet Rye Bread Cherry Cake

Ingredients
- 500 g sour cherries (if necessary from the jar)
- 150 g rye bread
- 4 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 1 small pinch ground cloves
- butter (for the pan)
- breadcrumbs (for the pan)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the cherries thoroughly.
- 2. Pit the cherries.
- 3. Crumble the rye bread into very fine crumbs.
- 4. Beat the sugar and eggs until creamy.
- 5. Stir the bread crumbs into the egg mixture.
- 6. Add cinnamon and ground cloves and mix everything well.
- 7. Grease a cake pan with butter.
- 8. Line the pan with the remaining bread crumbs.
- 9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- 10. Distribute the cherries evenly over the batter.
- 11. Press the cherries slightly into the batter.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 13. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes.
- 14. Remove the cake from the oven.
- 15. Let the cake cool down for a short while.
- 16. Carefully release the cake from the pan.
- 17. Let the cake cool completely.
- 18. Dust powdered sugar over the cake.
- 19. Serve the cake.
