  1. 1. Soak the sticky rice in cold water overnight (approx. 12 hours).
  2. 2. Drain the rice in a sieve and let it drip dry well.
  3. 3. Add the sticky rice, coconut milk, salt, and sugar to a pot.
  4. 4. Add enough water so that it stands about 1 cm above the rice.
  5. 5. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. 6. Reduce the heat to low and cook the rice covered for about 20 minutes.
  7. 7. Ensure that the liquid has been completely absorbed by the rice.
  8. 8. Let the rice cool down with the lid open.
  9. 9. Shape the cooled rice into small balls.
  10. 10. Serve the rice balls garnished with fresh mint.
