  1. 1. Rinse the cranberries thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2. Place the rinsed cranberries in a pot.
  3. 3. Pour 200 milliliters of water over the berries.
  4. 4. Simmer the mixture over medium heat for about 20 minutes until the berries burst.
  5. 5. Puree the cooked cranberries finely using a hand blender or a fork.
  6. 6. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any remaining skins.
  7. 7. Return the smooth fruit puree to the pot.
  8. 8. Add 500 milliliters of water, the sugar, and the lemon juice.
  9. 9. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
  10. 10. Fill the hot sauce into clean, prepared bottles.
  11. 11. Seal the bottles tightly with lids.
  12. 12. Let the sealed bottles cool down completely at room temperature.
