🍽️ Sweet Quark Dough Rolls

Ingredients
- 120 g dried dates
- 250 g wheat flour Type 1050
- 0.5 packet baking powder (1 1/2 tsp)
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 150 g low-fat quark
- 30 g rapeseed oil (3 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the dates in half and remove the pits.
- 2. Place the dates in a small bowl.
- 3. Pour 80 milliliters of boiling water over the dates.
- 4. Let the dates soak for about 5 minutes until they have absorbed all the liquid.
- 5. Briefly blend the soaked dates into a coarse puree using a hand blender.
- 6. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to a mixing bowl.
- 7. Mix the dry ingredients in the bowl.
- 8. Add the date puree, quark, and oil to the flour mixture.
- 9. Knead everything into a smooth, elastic dough using the dough hooks of a hand mixer.
- 10. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 11. Shape 10 equal balls from the dough.
- 12. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking tray.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius conventional heat (160 degrees Celsius fan-forced or gas level 2 to 3).
- 14. Place the tray on the middle rack in the oven.
- 15. Bake the rolls for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 16. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes.
- 17. Serve the sweet rolls warm.
