Ingredients
- 1500 g Muskatkürbis
- 6 Knoblauchzehen
- 3 Chilischoten
- 1 tsp Pfefferkörner
- 500 ml Weißweinessig
- 500 g Zucker
Instructions
- 1. Cut the pumpkin in half.
- 2. Peel off the skin.
- 3. Remove the seeds.
- 4. Dice the flesh into cubes of about 1.5 centimeters.
- 5. Peel the garlic.
- 6. Bring the vinegar to a boil with the garlic, chili peppers, and peppercorns.
- 7. Add the pumpkin cubes.
- 8. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 9. Let the mixture steep covered for 24 hours.
- 10. Stir in the sugar.
- 11. Simmer everything until the pumpkin is translucent but still firm.
- 12. Fill the mixture into pre-washed hot jars.
- 13. Seal the jars.
