  1. 1. Cut a cross into the bottom of the tomatoes.
  2. 2. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes for one minute.
  3. 3. Immediately shock the tomatoes in cold water.
  4. 4. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
  5. 5. Cut the lid off the top of one tomato.
  6. 6. Carefully hollow out the tomato using a melon baller.
  7. 7. Let the hollowed tomatoes drain on kitchen paper.
  8. 8. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  9. 9. Scrape out the vanilla pod seeds.
  10. 10. Mix the vanilla seeds with the lemon juice.
  11. 11. Cut the empty vanilla pod into eight pieces.
  12. 12. Set aside the vanilla pod pieces.
  13. 13. Finely chop the candied orange peel and raisins.
  14. 14. Crumble the amaretti cookies.
  15. 15. Quarter the apple and the pear.
  16. 16. Core the fruit.
  17. 17. Peel the fruit.
  18. 18. Dice the fruit finely.
  19. 19. Mix the chopped candied orange peel, raisins, amaretti, fruit, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  20. 20. Carefully fill the fruit mixture into the tomatoes.
  21. 21. Drizzle the stuffed tomatoes with honey.
  22. 22. Place the tomato lid back on.
  23. 23. Insert a piece of vanilla pod into the center of the filling.
  24. 24. Put the butter into a baking dish.
  25. 25. Place the tomatoes in the dish.
  26. 26. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (Gas: 2-3, Fan: 160 degrees).
  27. 27. Bake the tomatoes for about 10 minutes.
  28. 28. Plate two tomatoes on each plate.
  29. 29. Dust the tomatoes with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
  30. 30. Serve the tomatoes with vanilla ice cream.
