🍽️ Fruity Strawberry Shortcakes

Ingredients
- 300 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 2 Salt
- 400 g Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 400 g Strawberries
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 200 g Whipping Cream
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 3. Beat the soft butter together with sugar and salt until creamy.
- 4. Sift the flour and baking powder over the butter mixture.
- 5. Quickly knead the ingredients together into a dough.
- 6. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 7. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
- 8. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- 9. Thoroughly rinse the strawberries and remove the green tops.
- 10. Slice the strawberries.
- 11. Place the strawberry pieces into a large bowl.
- 12. Sprinkle the strawberries with sugar.
- 13. Whip the cream until stiff.
- 14. Reduce the oven temperature to 175 degrees Celsius.
- 15. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 16. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of about 1.5 cm.
- 17. Cut out round biscuits with a diameter of 6 to 7 cm.
- 18. Place the biscuits on the prepared baking tray.
- 19. Bake the shortcakes in the preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 15 minutes.
- 20. Remove the shortcakes from the oven and let them cool.
- 21. Divide the cooled shortcakes onto the plates.
- 22. Add the marinated strawberries to the shortcakes.
- 23. Add a dollop of the whipped cream to each piece.
- 24. Serve the shortcakes immediately.
