Ingredients
- 400 g whole wheat flour
- 1 cube yeast
- 1 pinch raw cane sugar
- 230 ml lukewarm water
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1. Sift whole grain flour into a bowl and create a well in the center. Crumble the yeast inside, mix it with water and brown sugar, and let it rest covered for 30 minutes.
- 2. Add salt and knead everything into a dough until it pulls away from the bowl's edge. Then cover and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes.
- 3. Shape the dough into about 30 cm long strands, wrap them spirally around long sticks, and grill over glowing charcoal for 10-15 minutes until the stockbread is golden brown and cooked through.
