  1. 1. Rinse the jars thoroughly with very hot water.
  2. 2. Let the water drain from the jars.
  3. 3. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
  4. 4. Clean the king boletes thoroughly.
  5. 5. Keep small mushrooms whole.
  6. 6. Cut larger mushrooms in half.
  7. 7. Add the mushrooms to the boiling water.
  8. 8. Boil the mushrooms for 2 to 4 minutes.
  9. 9. Pour off the mushrooms and drain them.
  10. 10. Rinse the mushrooms immediately with cold water.
  11. 11. Wait until the mushrooms are completely cooled down.
  12. 12. Let the cooled mushrooms drain well.
  13. 13. Add water, vinegar, and spices to a pot.
  14. 14. Bring the liquid to a boil.
  15. 15. Layer the mushrooms into the prepared jars.
  16. 16. Pour the boiling liquid immediately over the mushrooms.
  17. 17. Seal the jars immediately.
  18. 18. Turn the sealed jars upside down.
  19. 19. Leave the jars upside down to create a vacuum.
  20. 20. Wait for about 10 minutes.
  21. 21. Turn the jars back upright.
  22. 22. Store the mushrooms in a cool, dark place.
  23. 23. Consume the mushrooms within approximately 4 weeks.
