  1. 1. Turn on your oven's grill function and preheat it.
  2. 2. Cut the bread loaves in half.
  3. 3. Place the bread halves under the hot grill.
  4. 4. Toast the bread on both sides until they are golden brown.
  5. 5. Clean the porcini mushrooms and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  6. 6. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a hot pan.
  7. 7. Fry the mushroom pieces for two to three minutes until golden brown.
  8. 8. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper.
  9. 9. Peel the garlic cloves and cut them in half.
  10. 10. Take the toasted bread out of the oven.
  11. 11. Rub the cut sides of the bread with the garlic halves.
  12. 12. Drizzle the remaining oil over the bread.
  13. 13. Distribute the fried mushrooms over the bread.
  14. 14. Add some lemon juice on top.
  15. 15. Pluck thyme leaves and sprinkle them over the crostini.
  16. 16. Serve the crostini immediately.
