🍽️ Fragrant Steak with Ground Pepper

Ingredients
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 tsp white peppercorns
- 1 tsp pink peppercorns
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp chopped rosemary
- 1 tsp chopped thyme
- 4 rib-eye steaks (approx. 200 g each)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- salt
- thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Place the different peppercorns and coriander seeds into a mortar.
- 3. Coarsely crush the spices using the pestle.
- 4. Finely chop the rosemary and thyme.
- 5. Mix the chopped herbs with the ground spice mixture.
- 6. Pour the spice mixture onto a flat plate.
- 7. Rinse the beef steaks briefly under running water.
- 8. Pat the steaks completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 9. Turn the steaks in the spice mixture until they are coated all over.
- 10. Heat oil in a large frying pan.
- 11. Sear the steaks over high heat.
- 12. Cook each steak for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
- 13. Adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.
- 14. Season the steaks with salt after frying.
- 15. Wrap the steaks tightly in aluminum foil.
- 16. Place the wrapped steaks into the preheated oven.
- 17. Let the steaks rest in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 18. Remove the steaks from the oven after the resting period.
- 19. Garnish the steaks with fresh thyme sprigs as desired.
- 20. Serve the steaks immediately.
