🍽️ Crispy Celery Salad with Walnuts

Ingredients
- 1 stalk celery
- 2 hard-boiled eggs (peeled)
- 50 g coarsely chopped walnut kernels
- 2 shallots
- 4 tsp mayonnaise (from a jar)
- 1 tsp cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
- 2 tsp mustard
- 0.5 Lollo Rosso
- 0.5 Lollo bionda
- 150 g lamb's lettuce
- salt
- pepper
- paprika powder
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the celery under running water.
- 2. Cut off the tough ends of the stalks.
- 3. Slice the celery into thin, even rounds.
- 4. Peel the shallots and remove the outer skin.
- 5. Finely chop the shallots.
- 6. Place the celery slices, chopped shallots, chopped eggs, and walnuts into a large bowl.
- 7. Mix all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
- 8. Put the mayonnaise, cider (apple cider vinegar), mustard, salt, and pepper into a small separate bowl.
- 9. Stir the sauce ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- 10. Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly.
- 11. Dry the lettuce leaves well, for example with a kitchen towel or a salad spinner.
- 12. Arrange the dry lettuce leaves on a large serving platter.
- 13. Place the celery mixture in the center of the lettuce leaves.
- 14. Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the celery mixture.
- 15. Sprinkle some paprika powder on top as decoration.
- 16. Serve the salad immediately.
