🍽️ Star-shaped Jam Cookies

Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 2 vanilla pods (seeds)
- 125 g cold butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g apricot jam (or other jams)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Mix flour, powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla bean paste in a bowl.
- 2. Add small pieces of butter and knead everything quickly into a dough.
- 3. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 4. Wrap the ball in cling film.
- 5. Place the foil in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 6. Take the dough out of the refrigerator.
- 7. Place two layers of cling film on your work surface.
- 8. Roll the dough in portions between the films to a thickness of about 3 mm.
- 9. Cut out many cookies using a square cookie cutter (approx. 3 x 3 cm).
- 10. Take half of the cookies.
- 11. Use a small mold to cut out a star from the center of each cookie.
- 12. Place all cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 13. Put the tray in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (conventional fan).
- 15. Place the tray in the center of the oven.
- 16. Bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes.
- 17. Take the tray out of the oven.
- 18. Let the cookies cool down completely.
- 19. Warm the jam in a small pot.
- 20. Press the warm jam through a fine sieve to remove lumps.
- 21. Spread the jam onto the cookies without the star cutout.
- 22. Place the remaining cookies (with the star cutout) on top.
- 23. Lightly dust the finished cookies with powdered sugar.
