🍽️ Spirelli with Sardines and Basil

Ingredients
- 500 g Fusilli
- Salt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 8 anchovies
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped basil
- Pepper (from the mill)
- Basil (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Bring the water for the pasta to a boil in a pot.
- 2. Season the water generously with salt.
- 3. Add the spirelli pasta to the boiling water.
- 4. Cook the pasta al dente (firm to the bite).
- 5. Peel the garlic.
- 6. Take 4 anchovy fillets out of the can.
- 7. Finely chop the garlic and the anchovies together.
- 8. Heat olive oil in a frying pan.
- 9. Add the chopped mixture to the hot pan.
- 10. Sauté the mixture for 1 to 2 minutes.
- 11. Drain the pasta.
- 12. Reserve some pasta water.
- 13. Add the drained pasta to the sauce in the pan.
- 14. Add fresh basil.
- 15. Toss everything well to combine.
- 16. Add a little pasta water if it looks too dry.
- 17. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- 18. Serve the dish garnished with fresh basil.
