  1. 1. Remove any wilted or unappealing leaves from the fresh spinach.
  2. 2. Wash the spinach thoroughly under running water.
  3. 3. Let the washed spinach drain well so it does not become too watery.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic cloves of their skin.
  5. 5. Slice the garlic into thin pieces.
  6. 6. Place the pine nuts in a dry pot without oil or fat.
  7. 7. Roast the pine nuts on the stovetop until they are golden brown.
  8. 8. Remove the roasted pine nuts from the pot and set them aside.
  9. 9. Add olive oil and butter to the same pot.
  10. 10. Heat the oil and butter together until they are melted.
  11. 11. Fry the garlic slices in the hot fat for a short time.
  12. 12. Add the drained spinach to the pot.
  13. 13. Cook the spinach for about 10 minutes until it is soft.
  14. 14. Season the vegetables with salt and black pepper to taste.
  15. 15. Add the raisins and the roasted pine nuts back into the pot.
  16. 16. Heat everything together briefly so the flavors mix well.
