🍽️ Chicken Skewers with Red Onions and Cherry Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast fillet
- 300 g cherry tomatoes
- 3 red onions
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 green bell peppers
- 1 untreated lemon
- 6 sprigs thyme
- 4 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken breast fillets under running water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 3. Cut the chicken meat into even cubes.
- 4. Wash the cherry tomatoes thoroughly.
- 5. Peel the red onions of their outer skin.
- 6. Cut the onions into wedges.
- 7. Remove the stem base and the inside of the bell pepper.
- 8. Wash the bell pepper.
- 9. Cut the bell pepper into coarse cubes.
- 10. Wash the lemon.
- 11. Grate the lemon zest using a fine kitchen grater.
- 12. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 13. Wash the thyme sprigs.
- 14. Shake the thyme sprigs dry.
- 15. Thread the chicken, bell pepper, onions, and tomatoes alternately onto the skewers.
- 16. Drizzle the skewers with the lemon juice.
- 17. Drizzle the skewers with olive oil.
- 18. Place the skewers on the grill.
- 19. Grill the skewers on all sides for a total of about 10 minutes.
- 20. Sprinkle the grated lemon zest over the finished skewers.
- 21. Garnish the skewers with the thyme sprigs.
