  1. 1. Rinse the chicken breast fillets under running water.
  2. 2. Pat the meat completely dry with kitchen paper.
  3. 3. Cut the chicken meat into even cubes.
  4. 4. Wash the cherry tomatoes thoroughly.
  5. 5. Peel the red onions of their outer skin.
  6. 6. Cut the onions into wedges.
  7. 7. Remove the stem base and the inside of the bell pepper.
  8. 8. Wash the bell pepper.
  9. 9. Cut the bell pepper into coarse cubes.
  10. 10. Wash the lemon.
  11. 11. Grate the lemon zest using a fine kitchen grater.
  12. 12. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  13. 13. Wash the thyme sprigs.
  14. 14. Shake the thyme sprigs dry.
  15. 15. Thread the chicken, bell pepper, onions, and tomatoes alternately onto the skewers.
  16. 16. Drizzle the skewers with the lemon juice.
  17. 17. Drizzle the skewers with olive oil.
  18. 18. Place the skewers on the grill.
  19. 19. Grill the skewers on all sides for a total of about 10 minutes.
  20. 20. Sprinkle the grated lemon zest over the finished skewers.
  21. 21. Garnish the skewers with the thyme sprigs.
