🥤 Spicy Orange Punch

Ingredients
- 3 organic oranges
- 4 juice oranges
- 20 g ginger
- 10 g turmeric root
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 2 cardamom pods
- 6 sprigs rosemary
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 2 bags yarrow (tea)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the orange thoroughly, pat dry, and grate the peel from two of them. Then squeeze the juice from them together with the juice oranges.
- 2. Clean the ginger and turmeric and cut into small cubes. Crush the peppercorns and cardamom with the back of a knife. Clean the rosemary and pat dry.
- 3. Heat some olive oil in a hot pot, then roast the ginger, turmeric, orange peel, two sprigs of rosemary, and ground cloves over medium heat for about one minute.
- 4. Then deglaze with 300 ml of water and add the tea bags. Simmer for about 15 minutes over low heat.
- 5. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve, pour the collected liquid back into the pot, and add the freshly squeezed juice. Warm over low heat, but do not bring to a boil.
- 6. Slice the remaining orange and place it in a punch glass or mug together with a sprig of rosemary. Pour the punch over it and serve hot.
