  1. 1. Wash the chili pepper and the ginger thoroughly.
  2. 2. Cut the chili pepper and the ginger into coarse pieces.
  3. 3. Split the vanilla pod in half lengthwise.
  4. 4. Scrape out the pulp (seeds) from the vanilla pod.
  5. 5. Set aside the vanilla pulp and the empty pods.
  6. 6. Chop the chocolate into coarse pieces.
  7. 7. Set the chopped chocolate aside as well.
  8. 8. Pour the almond drink into a pot.
  9. 9. Add the cut chili peppers and ginger to the pot.
  10. 10. Add the scraped vanilla pod and the empty pods to the pot.
  11. 11. Add the cinnamon sticks to the pot.
  12. 12. Add the star anise to the pot.
  13. 13. Heat the mixture in the pot.
  14. 14. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
  15. 15. Cover the pot with a lid.
  16. 16. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  17. 17. Strain the spiced liquid through a sieve into a bowl.
  18. 18. Remove the solid spices from the sieve.
  19. 19. Pour the filtered liquid back into the pot.
  20. 20. Heat the liquid in the pot again.
  21. 21. Stir the vanilla pulp into the hot liquid.
  22. 22. Add the chopped chocolate to the hot liquid.
  23. 23. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted.
  24. 24. Divide the hot chocolate into two cups.
  25. 25. Sprinkle some cinnamon over each cup.
  26. 26. Enjoy the drink while it is hot.
