  1. 1. Peel the asparagus and trim off the woody ends. Cook it in salted water with a pinch of sugar for 12 to 15 minutes.
  2. 2. Melt the butter in a small pot. Stir in the herbs and season the butter with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Scrub the potatoes thoroughly and boil them with the skin on in salted water for about 20 minutes. Drain them, peel them, and wrap each potato with a strip of bacon. Insert wooden skewers through the potatoes to secure the bacon.
  4. 4. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the potatoes in it until crispy on all sides. Serve them together with the asparagus and the herb butter.
