🍝 Spaghetti with Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 400 g Spaghetti
- 350 g Tomatoes
- 1 Onion
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Capers
- 2 sprigs fresh marjoram
- 80 g Parmesan
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic cloves and the onion.
- 2. Finely chop the onion.
- 3. Finely chop two garlic cloves as well.
- 4. Heat olive oil in a pan.
- 5. Sauté the onions and garlic in the oil.
- 6. Pour hot water over the tomatoes.
- 7. Immediately shock the tomatoes with cold water.
- 8. Remove the skin from the tomatoes.
- 9. Quarter the tomatoes.
- 10. Remove the seeds from the tomato quarters.
- 11. Finely chop the tomato flesh.
- 12. Add the chopped tomatoes to the onion-garlic mixture.
- 13. Simmer the sauce over low heat for 15 minutes.
- 14. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 15. Drain the capers.
- 16. Stir the capers into the sauce.
- 17. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
- 18. Drain the pasta water.
- 19. Mix the spaghetti with the tomato sauce.
- 20. Pluck the marjoram leaves from the stems.
- 21. Sprinkle the marjoram leaves over the spaghetti.
- 22. Grate Parmesan cheese over the dish.
- 23. Season with freshly ground pepper.
