🍝 Pasta with Mushrooms in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 425 g peeled tomatoes (1 can)
- 1 garlic clove
- salt
- pepper
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 bunch basil
- 150 g chanterelles
- 1 tbsp butter
- 500 g spaghetti
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion.
- 2. Dice the onion into small cubes.
- 3. Heat the olive oil in a pot.
- 4. Sauté the onion cubes until soft.
- 5. Add the tomatoes to the pot.
- 6. Mash the tomatoes with a cooking spoon.
- 7. Let the sauce reduce until it is creamy.
- 8. Peel the garlic.
- 9. Press the garlic into the sauce.
- 10. Season the sauce with salt.
- 11. Season the sauce with pepper.
- 12. Season the sauce with sugar.
- 13. Rinse the basil.
- 14. Shake the basil dry.
- 15. Chop the basil finely.
- 16. Reserve a few leaves for garnish.
- 17. Stir the chopped basil into the sauce.
- 18. Clean the chanterelles.
- 19. Cut larger mushrooms into smaller pieces.
- 20. Heat the butter in a pan.
- 21. Fry the chanterelles in the butter.
- 22. Season the mushrooms with salt.
- 23. Season the mushrooms with pepper.
- 24. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water.
- 25. Cook the pasta until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 26. Mix the spaghetti with the tomato sauce.
- 27. Mix the spaghetti with the chanterelles.
- 28. Serve the dish.
- 29. Garnish it with the reserved basil leaves.
