🍽️ Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 carrot
- 1 small parsley root
- 2 onions
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 pinch lemon zest
- 1 can peeled tomatoes
- salt, pepper
- 1 pinch sugar
- 500 g spaghetti
- 100 g grated parmesan
Instructions
- 1. Peel the carrot and the parsley root.
- 2. Grate the vegetables finely.
- 3. Peel the onions and the garlic.
- 4. Dice the onions and garlic finely.
- 5. Heat the olive oil in a pan.
- 6. Fry the onions and garlic until golden brown.
- 7. Add the herbs and the lemon zest.
- 8. Stir everything well.
- 9. Add the grated carrot and parsley root.
- 10. Add the tomatoes.
- 11. Mash the tomatoes with a cooking spoon.
- 12. Let the sauce reduce until creamy.
- 13. Season the sauce with salt.
- 14. Season the sauce with pepper.
- 15. Season the sauce with sugar.
- 16. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water until al dente.
- 17. Drain the spaghetti.
- 18. Let the spaghetti drain.
- 19. Serve the spaghetti with the sauce.
- 20. Sprinkle the spaghetti with Parmesan.
- 21. Serve a fresh salad alongside.
