  1. 1. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente (firm to the bite), drain, and let it drip dry.
  2. 2. Sauté the garlic in oil in a large pot, add the mussels, pour in the wine and lemon juice, and cook everything on high heat for approx. 5 minutes with the lid on until the mussels open.
  3. 3. Strain the cooking liquid, bring it to a boil, and season with salt, pepper, and a few drops of Tabasco. Wash the chili pepper, slice it lengthwise, remove the inside with the white membranes, and slice it into rings.
  4. 4. Wash the spring onions, trim them, slice them into rounds, and fry them with the chili rings in hot butter in a pan, then add them to the seasoned liquid.
  5. 5. Stir the mussels and spaghetti into the sauce, heat through, and serve.
