🍝 Classic Spaghetti with Savory Minced Meat Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 carrots
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 250 g ground meat
- 400 g chopped tomatoes (can)
- 1 pinch lemon zest
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 400 g spaghetti
- 4 tbsp parsley
- 4 tbsp freshly grated parmesan
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop both ingredients very finely.
- 2. Peel the carrots and cut them into small, fine cubes.
- 3. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan.
- 4. Add the chopped onions to the hot pan and sauté them until translucent.
- 5. Add the minced meat and fry it until crumbly, stirring constantly.
- 6. Add the tomatoes, carrot cubes, and lemon zest to the pan.
- 7. Season the sauce generously with salt and pepper.
- 8. Cover the pan and let the sauce simmer on low heat for 30 to 40 minutes.
- 9. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water according to package instructions until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 10. Drain the pasta.
- 11. Wash the parsley and chop it finely.
- 12. After the cooking time is up, mix the drained pasta into the finished sauce.
- 13. Let the pasta warm through in the sauce for a short time.
- 14. Taste the sauce one last time and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
- 15. Divide the spaghetti among four plates.
- 16. Sprinkle the dish with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 17. Serve the spaghetti immediately while hot.
