🍝 Spaghetti with Fried Garlic and Lime

Ingredients
- 500 g Spaghetti
- Salt
- 1 untreated lime
- 4 sprigs thyme
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 young garlic bulb
- Pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot and add some salt.
- 2. Cook the spaghetti in this salted water for 10 to 15 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 3. Rinse the lime under hot water and pat it dry with a cloth.
- 4. Cut the lime into 8 equal wedges.
- 5. Wash the thyme sprigs and shake them dry.
- 6. Heat the oil in a large pan.
- 7. Add the lime wedges, the whole garlic bulb, and the thyme sprigs to the pan.
- 8. Fry the ingredients, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown.
- 9. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the other ingredients.
- 10. Add a little pasta water if the pan looks too dry.
- 11. Toss everything briefly so the noodles absorb the flavors.
- 12. Serve the spaghetti on plates.
- 13. Garnish the dish with the lime slices, thyme leaves, and the fried garlic clove.
- 14. Grate fresh pepper over the dish and serve immediately.
