  1. 1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot and add some salt.
  2. 2. Cook the spaghetti in this salted water for 10 to 15 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
  3. 3. Rinse the lime under hot water and pat it dry with a cloth.
  4. 4. Cut the lime into 8 equal wedges.
  5. 5. Wash the thyme sprigs and shake them dry.
  6. 6. Heat the oil in a large pan.
  7. 7. Add the lime wedges, the whole garlic bulb, and the thyme sprigs to the pan.
  8. 8. Fry the ingredients, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown.
  9. 9. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the other ingredients.
  10. 10. Add a little pasta water if the pan looks too dry.
  11. 11. Toss everything briefly so the noodles absorb the flavors.
  12. 12. Serve the spaghetti on plates.
  13. 13. Garnish the dish with the lime slices, thyme leaves, and the fried garlic clove.
  14. 14. Grate fresh pepper over the dish and serve immediately.
