🍽️ Sichuan Tofu

Ingredients
- 500 g tofu
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 pinch salt
- 0.5 tsp chili powder
- 200 ml poultry stock (from the jar)
- 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic cloves
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp ground Szechuan pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cut the tofu into approx. 4 cm cubes.
- 2. Heat the oil in a wok.
- 3. Add the soy sauce and salt and fry everything for 1 minute.
- 4. Add the chili powder and fry for another 30 seconds.
- 5. Stir in the sauce and add the tofu.
- 6. Let the dish simmer for 3 minutes.
- 7. Mix the cornstarch with 1 tbsp of water until smooth.
- 8. Add the starch mixture and garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
- 9. Plate the tofu with some sauce.
- 10. Sprinkle the dish with Sichuan pepper.
