  1. 1. Cut the tofu into approx. 4 cm cubes.
  2. 2. Heat the oil in a wok.
  3. 3. Add the soy sauce and salt and fry everything for 1 minute.
  4. 4. Add the chili powder and fry for another 30 seconds.
  5. 5. Stir in the sauce and add the tofu.
  6. 6. Let the dish simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. 7. Mix the cornstarch with 1 tbsp of water until smooth.
  8. 8. Add the starch mixture and garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
  9. 9. Plate the tofu with some sauce.
  10. 10. Sprinkle the dish with Sichuan pepper.
