  1. 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the green stems.
  2. 2. Dice the strawberries into small cubes.
  3. 3. Rinse the chili pepper and cut it open.
  4. 4. Remove the seeds and the inside of the chili.
  5. 5. Finely chop the deseeded chili.
  6. 6. Peel the onion and remove the outer layers.
  7. 7. Dice the onion into fine cubes.
  8. 8. Place the diced strawberries, chopped chili, and onions into a bowl.
  9. 9. Add the juice of a lime, oil, and fresh basil to the mixture.
  10. 10. Stir everything well to combine the salsa.
  11. 11. Season the salsa with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. 12. Cut the melons in half.
  13. 13. Scoop out the seeds from the melon using a spoon.
  14. 14. Use a melon baller to scoop out balls from the melon flesh.
  15. 15. Rinse the shrimp under running water.
  16. 16. Pat the shrimp dry with a kitchen towel.
  17. 17. Thread one shrimp ball and one melon ball alternately onto a skewer.
  18. 18. Peel the garlic and remove the skins.
  19. 19. Press the garlic directly into the oil.
  20. 20. Add oregano, thyme, and rosemary to the garlic oil.
  21. 21. Stir the herbs well into the oil.
  22. 22. Season the herb oil with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  23. 23. Brush the skewers evenly with the herb oil.
  24. 24. Place the skewers on the hot grill.
  25. 25. Grill the skewers for 5 to 8 minutes.
  26. 26. Turn the skewers regularly while grilling.
  27. 27. Remove the skewers from the grill once they are cooked.
  28. 28. Place the prepared strawberry-chili salsa on the plate.
  29. 29. Place the grilled skewers on top of the salsa.
  30. 30. Serve the dish immediately while warm.
