  4. 4. Warm the jam in a pot.
  5. 5. Press the warm jam through a fine sieve to remove lumps.
  6. 6. Add the orange juice and vinegar to the jam.
  7. 7. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
  8. 8. Remove the pot from the heat.
  9. 9. Season the marinade with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic clove.
  11. 11. Press the garlic into the marinade.
  12. 12. Mix the shrimp with the hot marinade.
  13. 13. Wash the basil.
  14. 14. Shake the basil dry.
  15. 15. Cut the basil leaves into thin strips.
  16. 16. Reserve a few basil leaves for garnish.
  17. 17. Peel the orange thoroughly with a sharp knife.
  18. 18. Remove the white pith as well.
  19. 19. Slice the orange flesh into rounds.
  20. 20. Halve the orange slices.
  21. 21. Toss some orange slices and basil strips into the shrimp.
