🍽️ Shrimp in Warm Orange Dip

Ingredients
- 800 g Shrimp (kitchen-ready)
- 75 g Orange marmalade
- 200 ml Orange juice
- 2 tbsp White wine vinegar
- Salt
- white Pepper (from the mill)
- Chili powder
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 bunch Basil
- 3 Orange
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Place the shrimp in a colander.
- 2. Rinse the shrimp under cold water.
- 3. Let the shrimp drain well.
- 4. Warm the jam in a pot.
- 5. Press the warm jam through a fine sieve to remove lumps.
- 6. Add the orange juice and vinegar to the jam.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
- 8. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 9. Season the marinade with salt, pepper, and chili powder.
- 10. Peel the garlic clove.
- 11. Press the garlic into the marinade.
- 12. Mix the shrimp with the hot marinade.
- 13. Wash the basil.
- 14. Shake the basil dry.
- 15. Cut the basil leaves into thin strips.
- 16. Reserve a few basil leaves for garnish.
- 17. Peel the orange thoroughly with a sharp knife.
- 18. Remove the white pith as well.
- 19. Slice the orange flesh into rounds.
- 20. Halve the orange slices.
- 21. Toss some orange slices and basil strips into the shrimp.
