  1. 1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water.
  2. 2. Pat the shrimp completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Peel the pineapple and cut off the hard bottom part.
  4. 4. Cut the pineapple flesh into small, bite-sized cubes.
  5. 5. Thread one pineapple piece and one shrimp alternately onto a wooden skewer.
  6. 6. Repeat this until you have filled 12 skewers.
  7. 7. Peel the garlic clove.
  8. 8. Press the garlic finely.
  9. 9. Mix the garlic with the lime juice.
  10. 10. Add the fish sauce to the mixture.
  11. 11. Add the oil to the mixture.
  12. 12. Add the sugar to the mixture.
  13. 13. Stir everything well until a uniform marinade forms.
  14. 14. Brush the skewers with the marinade.
  15. 15. Place the skewers in a covered bowl.
  16. 16. Place the skewers in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  17. 17. Preheat your grill.
  18. 18. Place the skewers on the hot grill.
  19. 19. Grill the skewers for 4 to 5 minutes on the first side.
  20. 20. Turn the skewers and grill them for another 4 to 5 minutes.
