Ingredients
- 300 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 2 Pinches Salt
- 400 g Flour
- 100 g Ground Walnuts
- 120 g Fine Sugar
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 3. Beat the soft butter with sugar and salt until fluffy.
- 4. Sift the flour over the butter mixture.
- 5. Quickly knead the ingredients into a dough.
- 6. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 7. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
- 8. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- 9. Lightly flour your work surface.
- 10. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1.5 centimeters.
- 11. Place the dough on the prepared baking tray.
- 12. Prick the dough surface several times with a fork.
- 13. Bake the cake for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden yellow.
- 14. Cut the still hot cake into strips of about 2 by 6 centimeters.
- 15. Roll the shortbread strips in fine sugar.
- 16. Let the cookies cool down completely.
