  1. 1. Rinse the potatoes under running water and scrub them thoroughly clean.
  2. 2. Pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Pour the oil into a large bowl.
  4. 4. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise.
  5. 5. Add the potato halves to the bowl with the oil.
  6. 6. Toss the potatoes in the bowl until they are evenly coated with oil.
  7. 7. Place the sesame seeds and cayenne pepper on a flat plate.
  8. 8. Lightly mix the sesame seeds and cayenne pepper together on the plate.
  9. 9. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  10. 10. Dip the cut side of each potato half into the sesame mixture.
  11. 11. Place the potatoes on the baking tray with the sesame side facing down, next to each other.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  13. 13. Place the tray in the center of the oven.
  14. 14. Bake the potatoes for about 15 minutes.
  15. 15. Remove the tray from the oven.
  16. 16. Turn the potatoes over.
  17. 17. Bake the potatoes for another 15 minutes.
  18. 18. Take the finished potatoes out of the oven.
  19. 19. Season the potatoes with salt to taste.
  20. 20. Serve the potatoes as a side dish.
