  2. 2. Cut the apple in half.
  3. 3. Remove the core from the apple halves.
  4. 4. Peel the celery.
  5. 5. Cut off any hard or fibery parts from the celery.
  6. 6. Grate the apple coarsely.
  7. 7. Grate the prepared celery coarsely as well.
  8. 8. Mix the lemon juice, vinegar, and oil in a small bowl.
  9. 9. Pour the dressing over the grated celery and apple.
  10. 10. Gently toss the ingredients so everything is evenly coated.
  11. 11. Heat a pan without fat on the stove.
  12. 12. Add the almonds to the hot pan.
  13. 13. Toast the almonds until they are golden brown and fragrant.
  14. 14. Sprinkle the toasted almonds over the finished salad.
  15. 15. Finely pick the parsley leaves from the stems.
  16. 16. Sprinkle the fresh parsley leaves over the salad as well.
