🍽️ Fresh Syrup Made from Elderflowers and Rhubarb

Ingredients
- 500 g rhubarb
- 500 g sugar
- 8 large elderflower
- 500 g sugar
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the rhubarb under running water.
- 2. Cut off the hard ends of the rhubarb.
- 3. Remove the fibrous strings from the stalks.
- 4. Cut the vegetable into pieces about 4 centimeters in size.
- 5. Place the rhubarb pieces into a pot.
- 6. Add the sugar and 500 milliliters of water.
- 7. Heat the mixture on the stove.
- 8. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 9. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 10. Let the liquid steep for 30 minutes.
- 11. Strain the rhubarb mixture through a fine sieve.
- 12. Pour the syrup into a previously boiled bottle.
- 13. Seal the bottle tightly.
- 14. Place the bottle in a cool spot.
- 15. Place the elderflowers into a clean pot.
- 16. Add the sugar and 500 milliliters of water again.
- 17. Heat the mixture until the sugar has dissolved.
- 18. Strain the flower mixture through a fine sieve.
- 19. Pour the syrup into a clean, boiled bottle.
- 20. Seal the bottle tightly.
- 21. Place the bottle in a cool spot.
