🍽️ Homemade Burgers with Quark Meatballs

Ingredients
- 100 g Skimmed Quark
- 80 g Rolls (from the day before; 2 Rolls)
- 300 g Beef Steak Minced Meat (Tatar)
- 1 Egg (S)
- 1 small Onion
- 1 small Garlic Clove
- Salt
- white Pepper
- 0.5 tsp Paprika Powder (sweet)
- 1 tsp Fine Oat Flakes
- 200 g red Bell Peppers (1 red Bell Pepper)
- 3 tbsp Rapeseed Oil
- 160 g large Tomatoes (2 large Tomatoes)
- 4 Leaves Lettuce (e.g. Head Lettuce)
- 180 g Whole Grain Rolls (4 Whole Grain Rolls)
- 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 120 g Emmental (45 % Fat; 4 Slice)
Instructions
- 1. Place the low-fat quark in a fine sieve and let it drain well.
- 2. Soak the buns in a bowl of hot water.
- 3. Squeeze the soaked buns thoroughly.
- 4. Place the squeezed buns into a separate bowl.
- 5. Add the minced beef and the egg to the buns.
- 6. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 7. Finely dice the onion and the garlic.
- 8. Add the diced vegetables to the meat mixture.
- 9. Add the drained quark to the bowl.
- 10. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and oat flakes.
- 11. Knead everything into a uniform dough using the beaters of a hand mixer.
- 12. Halve the bell pepper and remove the core.
- 13. Wash the bell pepper.
- 14. Dice the bell pepper very finely.
- 15. Stir the diced pepper into the meat dough.
- 16. Moisten your hands with a little water.
- 17. Shape four flat burger patties from the dough.
- 18. Ensure the patties for adults are slightly larger than those for children.
- 19. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- 20. Fry the burgers over medium heat for about five minutes.
- 21. Turn the burgers once a crust has formed.
- 22. Fry the other side for another five minutes as well.
- 23. Wash the tomatoes.
- 24. Cut out the stem areas of the tomatoes in a wedge shape.
- 25. Slice the tomato flesh into rounds.
- 26. Wash the lettuce leaves.
- 27. Shake the lettuce leaves dry.
- 28. Halve the whole grain buns.
- 29. Spread the bun halves thinly with tomato paste.
- 30. Top the bottom bun halves with tomato slices.
- 31. Place one slice of cheese on the tomatoes.
- 32. Place the fried burgers on the cheese.
- 33. Add one lettuce leaf on top of the burgers.
- 34. Cover the burgers with the top bun halves.
- 35. Serve the burgers immediately.
