Ingredients
- 50 ml heavy cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 pinch nutmeg (freshly grated)
- salt
- 1 tsp vegetable oil (for the pan)
Instructions
- 1. Pour the cream into a bowl.
- 2. Add the eggs, nutmeg, and salt to the cream.
- 3. Whisk the ingredients together thoroughly.
- 4. Brush a pot with a little oil.
- 5. Pour the cream mixture into the prepared pot.
- 6. Cover the pot with aluminum foil.
- 7. Place the pot into a larger pot filled with hot, nearly boiling water.
- 8. Let the mixture set in the water bath for about 30 minutes.
- 9. Turn the set egg mixture out onto a cutting board.
- 10. Slice the egg custard into slices.
- 11. Then cut the slices into diamond shapes.
